The Jewish Board and HereNow Foundation

As part of HereNow Hanukkah, a free teen festival all about self-care, wellness, and meaningful connection, we’re hosting a hands-on volunteer activation dedicated to brightening the holiday for children in local hospitals. Volunteers will help pack toys that have already been purchased into festive gift bags, and create heartfelt handwritten cards to be included with each package so every child receives a personal message of care and support. Once finished, these gift bags will be organized and prepared for distribution to pediatric patients, bringing a bit of Hanukkah warmth into their hospital rooms. This project sits alongside the festival’s wellness-focused workshops, speakers Carly Weinstein and Max Cohen, and live music by Nory, giving teens a chance not only to take care of themselves, but also to share that care with others in a tangible, uplifting way.
